Development Resources
Information about current zoning and future land use can be found by doing a property search in the City's Online Mapping program and reviewing the City's Zoning Bylaw, Official Community Plan and Neighbourhood Plans.
Prior to doing development on a property, a development application or other permits are likely required. The following resources and links are provided for quick reference, while a complete list of application forms can be found here, and a complete list of permits can be found here. If you have any questions about submitting an application, please contact the Planning Department.

Development Application Fees
The application fee is dependent on the number and type of applications. For example, fees can vary based on the number of variances, the combination of applications, and/or or by the subject building or site area. In addition, nominal fees will apply for title searches. Please note the following:
- Delayed payment of the application fees may result in delays to the processing of your application.
- Additional fees may be incurred through the development review process (i.e., additional variances identified). You will be notified of additional fees at that time.
- Other fees associated with your application may be required and payable to external agencies (i.e., the Agricultural Land Commission for ALR Applications)
