Accessibility and Inclusion Plan
Accessible British Columbia Act
In 2022, the Province of BC passed the Accessible British Columbia Act, which requires all public sector organizations to establish:
- An accessibility committee
- An accessibility Plan
- A mechanism for collecting feedback on accessibility
You can find information on each of these on this page.
Accessibility Committee
In January 2021, An Accessibility Advisory Panel (AAP) was developed by the City, under the Mayor’s Task Force on Inclusiveness, Diversity and Accessibility. The AAP met quarterly in 2021 and 2022 to provide feedback on accessibility issues to the City. In 2023, this panel became the City’s Accessibility and Inclusion Advisory Committee and started working on the City’s next Accessibility Plan. More information about the committee is available online at chilliwack.com/AIAC.

Accessibility and Inclusion Plan
