Development Variance Permit
Development Variances Permits are issued by Council to vary standards imposed in a bylaw that conflict with characteristics of a project.
Some of the requirements that could be varied by a Development Permit can be found in these bylaws:
- Zoning Bylaw
- Subdivision Bylaw
- Mobile Home Parks Bylaw
- Sign Bylaw
- Other Land Use and Development Bylaws
A variance application cannot:
- Constitute a substantial variation in applicable bylaws
- Vary the allowed density
- Permit a non-conforming use
