2022 Financial Plan

A magnifying glass resting on top of a pile of charts.

Help shape the City’s budget for 2022! As we work on the City’s Financial Plan, we want to hear from you. Tell us which services matter most to you by October 22:

Each year, the City updates its 10-year Financial Plan. This process includes opportunities for you to tell City Council which services and projects are important to you. Your feedback helps Council make decisions as they shape the City’s Financial Plan. The 2022-2031 Financial Plan will identify short-term community priorities, and help us plan for anticipated long-term needs in advance. The budget must balance these priorities with the level of property taxes the City will levy. Tell us what is important to you in our online survey here.

The Engagement Process

  • A paper survey is included in property tax notices mailed out in May each year
  • An online (or hard copy) survey is available from September-October
  • A draft budget is brought to Council in November
  • A public information meeting is called for the community to provide feedback in December
  • Council adopts the 2022 budget
