2024 Financial Plan

The Financial Plan

In accordance with Section 165 of the Community Charter, a municipality must have a Financial Plan Bylaw adopted on an annual basis. The City prepares a ten (10) year plan, identifying anticipated priorities in advance with a long-term vision in mind, which allows Council to consider and prioritize short and long-term budgetary service needs for the community, while allowing for a planning strategy to fund capital needs without debt. In identifying and prioritizing service needs for the community, Council must make thorough budgetary prioritization decisions, while balancing the level of property taxes the City will levy.
