| Description: Step out of your comfort zone and elevate your senses by walking the familiar trails of Mt. Thom in the dark. Guided by Chilliwack Search and Rescue members, you’ll navigate to the summit by headlamp to gaze out at the City lights. This ~2km (round trip) hike will bring you back down through the darkness under towering trees and along a moss-covered forest floor. Along the undulating trail, participants will listen for owls, watch for local night-life, learn outdoor safety tips, and muster up the courage to go “lights out’ for a moment or two! |
