This is a FREE ADMISSION show for every art lover in our region and for visitor tourists. The show is a joyous celebration of colour, on display at the O'Connor Group Art Gallery, and presented by the Chilliwack Visual Artists Association, until August 6, 2022. Paintings are by Chilliwack resident, Hussein Rostum. He says his goal is to create colourful paintings that intrigue, engage, and inspire people to make art and beauty an ongoing part of their lives, as it has always been in his.

Chilliwack Rugby club is hosting it's first Rookie Rugby event for kids aged 5-12. Rookie Rugby was created by Rugby Canada to give kids a chance to learn more about the sport, while having fun. There is no contact involved, and we will be showing kids some simple drills and activities while also distributing materials and registration sign up for our 5 week camp the following week. This is a Co-ed event, all kids of all shapes and sizes, any experience level, ages 5-12 are welcome to join, no fees or registration required! Bring a water bottle, cleats, and sunscreen if needed as our field gets a lot of sun!

Step out of your comfort zone and elevate your senses by walking the familiar trails of Mt. Thom in the dark. Guided by Chilliwack Search and Rescue members, you’ll navigate to the summit by headlamp to gaze out at the City lights. This ~2km (round trip) hike will bring you back down through the darkness under towering trees and along a moss-covered forest floor. Along the undulating trail, participants will listen for owls, watch for local night-life, learn outdoor safety tips, and muster up the courage to go “lights out’ for a moment or two!
