Join Chilliwack Hospice Society for a special day in support of your health and wellness. Register early to participate in any or all our grief workshops, or drop-in to learn about our programs and services, meet our staff, enjoy some treats and enter to win door prizes! Cycling Without Age will be offering complimentary trishaw rides to Sardis Park and back for one or two people; a wonderful experience to share with a parent, caregiver, or loved one who might not be able to get out to walk the park.

The Ryder Lake Ramble self-guided tour of farms and gardens in Ryder Lake is back on again this year! Admission is free but donations are much appreciated. All funds raised will go towards Hall renovations and repairs. Wristbands and maps will be available at the Ryder Lake Hall, 49265 Elk View Rd. Also at the Hall there will be food for purchase and community displays.

NO PETS PLEASE! Note - all animals can be unpredictable especially around small children. These are all private properties, many rustic in nature with hills and uneven ground. Attendance is at your own risk.

Two amazing Tributes to Music Icons Elton John & Billy Joel come to Chilliwack with The Rocket Man and The Piano Man. Guided Nature Sessions are outings for residents hosted by a City of Chilliwack naturalist. Everyone is welcome to join us for the Father’s Day in the Forest Guided Nature Session. This ~3.5km (round trip) walking tour will take place underneath a towering canopy of coniferous trees and through a moss-covered forest floor. Along the undulating trail, participants will learn how to interpret the natural landscape, uncover hints of our past, watch for the species that call this forest home, search for edible wild plant shoots, identify trees and shrubs, and more. This active education session will be geared towards the child in your life, as we connect with nature and each other. While this event occurs on Father’s Day, we recognize the diversity of family structures and will celebrate all caregivers.

This concert under the direction of Kevin Beigel is their first of the season. You can expect a variety of music and great sounds. There is no admission charge but donations are accepted. Come and enjoy a great concert. 7:00 pm.

Hops & Heritage focuses on the local craft brewing and hops industry in Chilliwack, and how this industry has played an important role in the development of our economy, identity, and heritage. Join us on the grounds of the Chilliwack Museum on June 25, 2022, for the launch of Hops & Heritage. Admission $5 (CMHS Members) or $10 (General Public) (Free for Children & Youth) Drink Tickets 1 for $5 or 3 for $12 Beer garden featuring Bricklayer Brewing, Farmhouse Brewing, Fieldhouse Brewing, Flashback Brewing, and Old Yale Brewing! Becky's Grill2Go will be onsite from 3:00pm to 8:00pm serving your favourite snacks! Live music featuring The Maybelles and Jada Mckenzie-Moore. Select panels and artifacts from "The Hops Connection: From Industry Gold to Lasting Legacy". Food! Games! Art! Shopping! Door Prizes! At the launch, and throughout the summer, people will be able to purchase a Hops & Heritage Passbook from the Chilliwack Museum; each page of the passbook will feature a different local brewery. Passbooks will then be presented at participating breweries and be given a stamp indicating they have visited the brewery. The more stamps a passport has, the better chance a participant will have of winning a prize. The Hops & Heritage Passbook will run from June 25, 2022, to September 3, 2022. Hops & Heritage is the Chilliwack Museum & Archives annual fundraiser. Proceeds from this event will benefit accessibility upgrades to the Chilliwack Museum and emergency preparedness initiatives at the Archives.

The 6th Chilliwack Scouts are excited to announce the 1st Annual Scouts Carnival, which will be taking place at The Sardis Sports Complex and Watson Glen Park (5725 Tyson Road) on June 25th, 2022 from 10am to 6pm. This will be a fun event for everyone with games, Outdoor Adventure Activities led by Scouters and volunteers, The Vedder Farmers Market, interesting booths, a silent auction, a vendor area, food trucks, a firetruck, police car, ambulance and more!

We are accepting applications for our vendor area. Spaces are 10x10 for $20 and vendors are responsible for their own tables and chairs. If you are interested, please email [email protected] with your name, your business, and your website (if applicable)

Learn about the site history and the restoration efforts underway by people and wildlife, like beavers, that call it home. Listen for frogs as we learn about recent invaders impacting our natural species of amphibians. Meander along streamside trails while watching for a wide array of birds defending their territory during nesting season. Taste wild berries growing in the diverse "riparian area" and see some ways to help identify them for your future outings.
