Description:

Guided Nature Sessions are outings for residents hosted by a City of Chilliwack naturalist. Spring Migration is in the air and the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve is an important area for birds to rest before continuing their journey. Join guest-host Gord Gadsden who will attempt to spot, identify, and show you over 30 species of birds! Expect to tour along ponds, streams, and through forests on level graveled trails for about ~2km (return). By partnering to combine the experience of FVRD and Chilliwack staff in this session it’s anticipated that we’ll encounter everything from large Great Blue Herons to tiny hummingbirds as well as learn about some of the park’s other plants and wildlife along the way, too.
