We are a community market that gathers at the yarrow Pioneer Park EVERY Friday from May 24-September 27th. We start at 5pm each week and go until dusk (8:30ish) It's more than just a market. The community uses this event as a weekly gathering spot. Many will bring their families to eat at the food trucks and listen to the live music (we have both every single week!). There is also a playground for children to play, picnic tables to gather with friends, etc.

May 24 is our season opener and September 27th is our year end party. Live music and food trucks every Friday from 5pm until 8:30pm

Tuesdays, June 4 – Aug 27, 10 am – 11 am For caregivers and babies. Enjoy a casual time of socializing, reading and playing. All participants receive an extra entry into our Summer Reading Club draws! Geared for babies ages 0-18 months. Toys and books will be provided. Drop in.

Mainstage is coming to Chilliwack! Six different plays to see - a week of entertaining performances as part of the Provincial theatre festival. Join us Thursdays throughout the summer for an outdoor storytime from 10:30 am – 11 am, followed by a special guest at 11! In partnership with the City of Chilliwack. In the event of extreme weather, storytime will be moved indoors.

You are invited to our 2nd annual Community Action ~ In Motion event happening July 11th, 2024, 5:30-8:30pm. The Chilliwack Community Action team has curated an evening of performance art celebrating resiliency, breaking barriers and combating stigma. We hope to bring awareness in regard to the toxic drug crisis. This will be an incredible evening of performance art with many talented local and Indigenous dance teams as well as other performers including The Source Dance Company, local singer/song writer sensation Jennifer Victor, as well as the talented band, Hidden Voices -Dedicated to Loved Ones Lost to Toxic Drugs. Light snacks and refreshments will be served in the lobby before the show. Tickets for $15 can be purchased in advance through the Chilliwack Cultural Center starting June 1st, or at the door.

9:30 am – 11 am This hands-on event will teach parents/caregivers ways to play with your baby or toddler and encourage early literacy at the same time. Come to play and go away with ideas to try at home. This event is best suited for babies and toddlers 2 years old and younger with a parent or caregiver. Drop in, no registration required.

Wednesdays, July 17 & July 24, 1 pm – 3 pm In this exciting workshop youth participants will explore two powerful forms of self-expression and creativity: free writing and visual journaling. All writing levels welcome – journal kits will be provided. For ages 12 – 18 years old. Registration begins June 26, please call or drop by the Sardis library to sign up.
