The Nature Trust of BC invites you to a restoration event in Chilliwack, on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Please RSVP for the event here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/property-restoration-with-the-nature-trust-of-british-columbia-nature-chi-tickets-452157323727 The Nature Trust of BC’s Camp Slough Conservation Area contains 2,800 feet of river frontage with large old-growth cottonwood trees lining the waterway. This property provides important habitat values for many species of wildlife, especially migratory birds. Over 100 native bird species have been identified on the property, including blue-listed Great Blue Heron and Green Heron. Join the South Coast Conservation Field Crew and Nature Chilliwack for a fun volunteer planting and clean-up event. You will learn about this beautiful conservation property, and participate in planting 250 native trees and shrubs. After the planting we will walk throughout the property and clean up any rubbish found. Snacks and prizes will be on hand! This event is made possible thanks to the support of TD Friends of the Environment Foundation, and the EcoAction Community Funding Program.

Daze of Derby is back!! NWO Roller Derby is so excited to finally be hosting this single day event once again!!! Saturday November 12th, all day long, 8am to 8pm Come by and watch some hard-hitting, fast-paced Roller Derby action! Multiple teams coming to skate from near and far, with multiple bouts being played on two tracks simultaneously This year is an A/B level tournament with the opportunity for a bit of C level scrimmaging as well Raffle Prizes, 50/50 tickets, Food Trucks, Vendor tables, and more! Clothing is one of the greatest environmental challenges of our time and you can help make a difference! Learn how to make basic repairs on your clothing and even how to use a sewing machine. Bring in your used, good-condition clothes and freely exchange them with others. See how you can reduce your clothing waste and more! This event is hosted by the City of Chilliwack, the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV), and UFV's Office of Sustainability.

Rosemary Siemens Christmas Concert: You are invited to experience Rosemary Siemens and Eli Bennet live in concert! Join us for a Christmas concert filled with family favorites, beloved carols, re-imagined hymns and songs of God's faithfulness & love. Concerts are free admission with a freewill offering to help children in Latin America go to School. Rosemary Siemens is a four-time Gospel Music Award winning violinist and vocalist and has performed at the Grand Ole Opry, three times at St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican, four times at Carnegie Hall, for two U.S. Presidents and Canadian Prime Ministers, and was the first violinist to ever perform at the Sistine Chapel at the Vatican since its first mass in 1483.

You’re invited to join Chilliwack Hospice Society for a time of reflection and support in the company of others whose loved one has died. Following two years of our Illumination Memorial walks, the Chilliwack Hospice Society Annual Memorial Celebration returns indoors to Vineyard Community Centre on Wednesday, November 23. Featuring a musical offering by classical guitarist and Chilliwack Academy of Music instructor Rod Swanson. Guest speakers to be announced. - Everyone is welcome to attend - Bring a framed photo of your loved one - Light refreshments will be served
