The Nature Trust of BC invites you to a restoration event in Chilliwack, on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Please RSVP for the event here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/property-restoration-with-the-nature-trust-of-british-columbia-nature-chi-tickets-452157323727 The Nature Trust of BC’s Camp Slough Conservation Area contains 2,800 feet of river frontage with large old-growth cottonwood trees lining the waterway. This property provides important habitat values for many species of wildlife, especially migratory birds. Over 100 native bird species have been identified on the property, including blue-listed Great Blue Heron and Green Heron. Join the South Coast Conservation Field Crew and Nature Chilliwack for a fun volunteer planting and clean-up event. You will learn about this beautiful conservation property, and participate in planting 250 native trees and shrubs. After the planting we will walk throughout the property and clean up any rubbish found. Snacks and prizes will be on hand! This event is made possible thanks to the support of TD Friends of the Environment Foundation, and the EcoAction Community Funding Program.
