Heritage Strategic Action Plan
The Heritage Strategic Action Plan provides a clear vision and direction for an integrated community heritage program in Chilliwack. It acknowledges our rich and diverse history, and the importance of inclusive and diverse community celebrations, partnerships, and heritage activities to preserve and promote local heritage resources. Eight strategic directions are identified that cover both community-wide collaborative actions and City-led initiatives over the next ten years.
Heritage Interest Inventory
In January 2024, Council endorsed the new Heritage Interest Inventory, identifying 92 heritage resources that remain from a list first prepared in 1991. This updated list will be used to further implement the Heritage Strategic Action Plan, including developing a Community Heritage Register.
