People across the province are getting together take part in Parkinson SuperWalk, the single most important provincial and national awareness and fundraising event for Parkinson Society British Columbia (PSBC)! Join your community at The Landing Sports Centre in Chilliwack on Saturday, September 8th, 2018 to support people living with Parkinson’s and their loved ones in your community. The walk is open to everyone and there are two ways to fundraise! The first is to simply register and fundraise online at: http://superwalkbc.kintera.org/. Alternatively, you may choose to fundraise offline with a pledge form that is printable from the website (https://www.parkinson.bc.ca/media/90995/17_bc_sw-en-pledgeform-2page-cmyk-live.pdf). Please bring your pledge form and funds raised to any walk location! Proceeds from SuperWalk will enable the Society to invest in research and continue to provide essential programs and services to the 13,000 individuals and their families who live with Parkinson’s disease in BC. Join us for our fourth annual UFV Alumni Open golf tournament. Bringing together community leaders, businesses, UFV alumni, students and friends, this is a signature annual event for UFV supporters. If you’re not a golfer, you’re welcome to join us for the apres golf reception dinner following the tournament. All proceeds will be contributed to the Alumni Changing Lives Bursary Endowment, helping UFV students. Sponsorship opportunities available. Team up for Terry A great opportunity for your group, company or organization to make a difference in the fight against cancer while commemorating a great Canadian, Terry Fox. Invite your associates, colleagues, family and friends. Start a team to honour a loved one, to involve your workplace in the community, or to unite your family for a good cause. Everyone is welcome. A great team building exercise for your workplace. Share an incredible experience with friends and family. Bring together your social club or athletic group Celebrate, honour and remember loved ones. Everyone is welcome to participate in a Terry Fox Run, regardless of age, athletic ability or socio-economic standing. While the Run does not have an entry fee or minimum donation, we do ask all participants to fund-raise or make a donation.
