ART33 is a collective of students from School District 33 high schools (Chilliwack, G.W. Graham and Sardis Secondary). It is a favourite annual event at the O'Connor Group Art gallery with the exhibiting student’s friends and family as well as members of the art community.‚Äč The artworks showcased in this exhibition are responses to projects in a variety of courses offered at the high school level as juried by the art teachers during the 2016-2017 school year. Students are encouraged to share their personal taste and experiences through drawing, painting, printmaking, graphic design, digital art, ceramics, sculpture, animation and fabric arts. For some students, this is a start of a career in the arts. For others, this is a demonstration of their affinity for the arts. The Exhibit runs from May18th to June 17th, and the Reception is on May 18th from 6om to 8pm. Shown in the O'Connor Group Art Gallery, in the Cultural Centre, 9201 Corbould St. from noon until 5pm Wednesday thru Saturday, and on some show nights from 6.30 to 7.30. Admission is free.
