| Description: Our organization and UFV have teamed up to host our annual conference this year on June 18th from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm. This year we are hosting the event at Cottonwood 4 Cinemas and sharing a local film "The Better Man". We're hoping to start a conversation about Violence Against Women, and how it impacts our community. There will be a light lunch included (The Chopped Leaf). The Film: A Better Man – A film that shifts the conversation on violence against women. (abettermanfilm.com) Summary: A Better Man is a film that documents a personal experiment between a former couple who lived through two years of domestic abuse. The film follows a series of intimate conversations between the couple and infuses new energy and possibility into the movement to end violence against women. The film is a step towards understanding and accountability and aims to help stop the abuse.
