Enforcement of Provincial Health Orders

The City is guided by provincial and federal authorities on health matters and is committed to responding promptly to each new directive. We are all concerned about the spread of COVID-19 and the City is actively urging all residents and businesses to follow provincial health orders.

Our Bylaw Officers regularly patrol parks and trails and will remind residents about the importance of physical distancing as needed. For general information about physical distancing and self-isolation, call 1-888-COVID19 (1-888-268-4319).

Complaints about gatherings should be directed to the RCMP non-emergency line at 604.792.4611.

Indoor Group Fitness Activities

The provincial health officer has ordered indoor group fitness activities to stop temporarily. Please contact Fraser Health with concerns about these activities at HPChilliwack@fraserhealth.ca or 604.702.4952.

Masks are now mandatory in all indoor public and retail spaces. If a business has a customer refusing to wear a mask, please contact the RCMP.

Non-Essential Travel

While it is the expectation of the provincial health officer that we all limit our non-essential travel, this is not an official Order at this time.

Safety Concerns in a Workplace/Business

Questions or concerns related to COVID-19 about a business or workplace should be directed to WorkSafeBC at 604.276.3100 in the Lower Mainland (toll-free within B.C. at 1.888.621.7233).

Secondary Selling or Price Gouging

Complaints about secondary selling or price gouging should be directed to Consumer Protection BC at 1.888.564.9963 or consumerprotectionbc.ca.
