Bylaw Support for Enforcement of Provincial Health Orders
The City is guided by provincial and federal authorities on health matters and is committed to responding promptly to each new directive.
Bylaw officers are currently supporting the provincial health officer’s Orders for business closures and gatherings through education and warnings.
Our bylaw officers are regularly visiting local parks and other community spaces to help remind residents of the important need of physical distancing; however, physical distancing is not an official Order at this time.
To lodge a complaint regarding food-service or personal-service businesses (restaurants, grocery stores, pubs, nail salons, hair salons, etc.), please contact Fraser Health directly at 604.587.3936 or email email@example.com. Complaints regarding other types of businesses or about gatherings of over 50 people can be reported to the City’s Bylaw Department directly at 604.793.2908. Bylaw staff will determine the applicable health orders and attend the site to provide education.
For complaints about social distancing and/or self isolation, call 1-888-COVID 19 (1-888-268-4319).
Complaints about secondary selling or price gouging should be directed to Consumer Protection BC at 1.888.564.9963 or consumerprotectionbc.ca.
