Contours - 10 metre intervals

Features: Contour10m
Purpose: 10 metre contour data.

10 metre contours have been produced from LIDAR survey data collected by McElhanney (2016), and the Dudley Thompson Mapping Corporation (2012) for the City of Chilliwack; and LIDAR data collected by Eagle Mapping for the Fraser Basin Council (2012). Contours were derived from a bare earth LIDAR Digital Elevation Model which was pre-processed using a focal statistics algorithm. The resulting contours were simplified using a generalizing algorithm that removed vertices at a 2 metre tolerance interval. The majority of the contour data reflects ground conditions as of Spring 2016, with peripheral areas near Chilliwack Mountain and the Fraser River current as of 2012.

Credits: Updated by the City of Chilliwack.
Limitations: Contour data should be considered as approximate rather than exact and is not intended for construction or engineering purposes. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure the accuracy of the data.

Elevations are based on the Canadian Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1928 (CGVD28).

Maintenance Frequency: Contour data was generated in July 2017.
