Starting from a young age, Fergus began learning from Lisa Sheppard as one of the Maple Sugar Jiggers. He now focuses on solo performing and teaching while carrying on the cultural tradition of interlacing stories and history into his performances. Description: From a 1912 Log House with sweeping views of the valley to a stunning 1939 Tudor Revival in Chilliwack Proper, take a peek inside a selection of five unique heritage properties and learn about their history and architecture. As an added bonus, each house will feature a period appropriate vintage automobile parked on the property. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore downtown Chilliwack with two distinct guided walking tours, a tour of the Chilliwack Museum's Archives, as well as connect with local businesses and other heritage organizations such as the Atchelitz Thresherman's Museum and the Chilliwack Military Museum. The home tour is self-guided and ticket holders can choose which stops to visit and in which order. Volunteers and your guidebook will offer historical information about each site, as well as additional neighbourhood insights. Please Note: A vehicle will be necessary to get to and from the homes and the Atchelitz Threshermen's Museum. The walking tours of downtown do not require a vehicle. TICKETS FOR SALE for $25 AT CORNERSTONE FRAMING ON MILL STREET (CASH) AND THE CHILLIWACK MUSEUM ON SPADINA AVE (CASH) OR ON EVENTBRITE. ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT TICKETS CAN BE PURCHASED AT THE CHECK-IN AT THE ROYAL HOTEL ON WELLINGTON AVE STARTING AT 10:30AM. ALL TICKET HOLDERS WILL CHECK-IN AT THE ROYAL HOTEL STARTING AT 10:30AM TO COLLECT THEIR WRISTBANDS, MAPS, AND BOOKLETS THAT WILL BE NEEDED TO ENTER THE HOMES AND PROPERTIES.
