Safe Sharps Disposal
Sharps are medical devices with sharp points or edges that can puncture or cut the skin, such as needles, syringes and lancets.
Sharps are used by a diverse range of community members including people with diabetes and other medical conditions, pet owners and people who use criminalised substances.
For information on safe sharps handling and disposal, please see Fraser Health's instructions on DISPOSING OF NEEDLES SAFELY. Please note, Fraser Health has also installed Sharps Disposal Units outside the Chilliwack General Hospital and Public Health Unit.
