Parks & Trails
Nature Park
The Browne Creek Wetlands are located in the Vedder Greenway, on the south side of the Vedder River, and extend from the Vedder River Campground west of the Southern Railway bridge.
While the primary feature of the area is the spawning channel network constructed by Fisheries and Oceans Canada and the Fraser Valley Watersheds Coalition, the City of Chilliwack and Rotary Club of Chilliwack have partnered to develop a network of just over 2km of recreational trails along the spawning channels. Two main trails, appropriately named the Kingfisher and the Beaver Trails, flank the rehabilitated spawning channels and allow trail users to observe the natural systems up close.
We encourage you to make time to visit this wonderful new recreational area where wildlife, recreation, education, sustainability and conservation align.
