The City of Chilliwack (City) is seeking Pre-Qualifications (PQ) from qualified Respondents to
construct the “Dehumidifier Replacement – SSC Ice Rinks 1 & 2” (the “Project”) located at 5725
Tyson Rd. The purpose of this Request for Pre-Qualification (RFPQ) is to solicit submissions from
Respondents, with expertise in general ice rink ammonia plant works and more specifically
dehumidifier replacement within an ice rink facility.
Depending on the quality and nature of the submissions received, the City may select up to three
(3) or more Respondents who, at the RFP stage, will submit detailed technical and financial
Proposals for the Project.
This Request for Pre-Qualification (RFPQ) outlines the opportunity for Interested Parties and is
intended to identify qualified Proponents who have the resources and skills to successfully deliver
the Project. This is intended to be a permissive document that stimulates comprehensive and
innovative PQs. The City shall not be obligated in any manner to any Proponent whatsoever until
a written agreement has been duly executed related to an approved Proposal.
The Project is funded by the City of Chilliwack and has an estimated construction budget of
$480,000.
