The work involves a two-year contract for the inspection, testing, painting, removal of vegetation and overgrowth and maintaining service history records for approximately 1594 fire hydrants owned and operated by the City of Chilliwack.
BONDING: The successful Contractor will be required to provide a Performance Bond in the amount of 25% of the total (two year) tendered price. Irrevocable letter of credit or certified cheque may be substituted for a bond.
PRE TENDER MEETING: There will be a pre-tender meeting held on Thursday, December 14th, 2006. Attendance at this meeting is not a requirement of this Tender. The meeting will convene at 10:30 a.m. in the Public Works Yard Board Room whic is located at 8300 Kiernan Drive, Chilliwack, B.C.
