| Description: National Seniors Day is a Government of Canada initiative to "pay tribute to the seniors who have helped build our country and continue to make valuable contributions to Canadian communities, workplaces and society". The event takes place across the country on October 1st of each year. For the 2016 observation, Chilliwack & District Seniors Resources Society has planned an event at the City of Chilliwack's Evergreen Hall from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. This event is an opportunity for community organizations and businesses to provide information about the products and services they offer to support seniors. There will be a dedicated exhibitor space in the main hall, workshops hosted in meeting rooms as well as on site entertainment and refreshments. |
