The City of Chilliwack (City) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EIs) from qualified Proponents to supply pre-processed organic waste pulp that will be mixed and anaerobically digested together (co-digestion) with municipal wastewater sludge in Digester #3 and the proposed a new Digester #4 at the municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant (“WWTP”). The organic wastes of interest are fats, oil and grease (“FOG”), pre-processed (into slurry/pulp) pre-consumer food waste, and/or pre-processed (into slurry/pulp) source separated organics from the Industrial-Commercial-Institutional (ICI) sector which will be referred to as the “feedstock”. The feedstock will contain approximately 10% solids after being diluted with water. |
