2024 Traffic Count Program Back
Work:

The City of Chilliwack is requesting Quotations for the supply of all labour, supervision, equipment
and materials, where specified, to conduct the Work in accordance with the Work Requirements
and Specifications contained herein on an as and when needed basis.

The City requires Traffic Count Services at locations described on the attached location tables. The
Work will include, but is not limited to:

Automatic traffic counts will be taken for twenty-four (24) hours at each station in one (1) hour
increments, separated by direction and given a daily total. Access to the permanent stations or data
link will be provided as necessary.

Four-hour manual intersection counts to include vehicles, pedestrians and bicycles will be taken from
7:00am to 9:00am and again from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in fifteen (15) minute increments. Where
specified, afternoon peak hours may be specified instead from 2pm until 4pm due to school traffic
peaks.

Seven-hour manual intersection counts to include vehicles, pedestrians and bicycles will be taken
from 7:00am to 9:00am, 11am – 1pm and again from 2:00pm to 5:00pm or 3:00pm to 6:00pm in
fifteen (15) minute increments.
