Sanitary Forcemain Upgrade
Construction Notice - Road Closure
Location: Wolfe Road from Dyke Road to Ashwell Road
Date and Time: Monday, December 8, at 7 am - Wednesday, December 10, at 7 pm
Traffic: There will be a detour in place during the road closure. Residents with driveways within the road closure area will have continuous access to and from their properties from the west (Schweyey-Chilliwack Mountain).
Timeline
Work began at the beginning of November.
The project is scheduled to be completed in March 2026.
Traffic Management
Traffic will be single-lane alternating. Please expect delays during working hours.
Project Details
970 metres of new sewer forcemain along Hodgins Avenue and Wolfe Road from Dyke Road to Sunset Drive will be replaced. The new 900mm diameter pipe will replace a 1961 600mm diameter pipe. The new larger sewer main will increase capacity for future development and improve the reliability of the sewer system in the area.
