Cart Selection Portal

The City of Chilliwack is improving our Curbside Collection Program to include automated collection of garbage, recycling and compostable waste using standardized carts, and new curbside collection of flexible plastics! These changes will start on May 1, 2026.

All residences will be provided with carts for recycling and garbage. Now is the time to choose the size of carts you wish to use. You may also request a green cart exchange if you would like a different size, or if your existing green cart is damaged. All residents in wildlife areas will receive a new style of wildlife-resistant green cart.

Cart selections will be accepted until September 30, 2025.

If no selection is submitted, you will automatically be issued the default recycling and garbage cart sizes for your property type. You will continue to use your existing green cart(s), unless you live in a designated wildlife area, where green carts will be replaced with a new wildlife-resistant green cart of the same size (80L green carts are no longer available and will be replaced with 120L green carts).

If properties have more than one owner, please coordinate and have only one owner make the cart selection.
