| Description: Digital SLR Photography Made Simple. Instructor Angelika Young. Dates: Saturdays, June 7, 14, 21, & 28. Times: 10:00 - 1:00 pm. Ages: Adult Cost: $75. Members save an additional 10%. This 4 session course will be ‘hands-on‘ and we will explore the different features on your digital camera, practice picture taking which includes a field trip and organize your digital images and get them ready to be printed as a book, calendar, etc. SESSION 1 June 7 For this course bring your camera to the class we will look at the camera features and menu items, explore different techniques how to use existing light, ISO, aperture and shutter speed. We will go out and practice taking some shots in our neighbourhood. SESSION 2 - June 14. Field trip to a local garden centre/nursery for a practice in Macro photography, taking pictures of flowers. Supplies needed: Tripod. SESSION 3 - June 21. Focus on people photography, how to take a good shot when you are on holidays with your family, how to put your loved ones into the best light. SESSION 4 - June 28. Process your digital images, learn how to save, back-up and create a photo book or calendar. |
