The objective of this assignment is to obtain a complete assessment of the leachate generation within the landfill and how it is influenced by groundwater and surface water.  The purpose of this assessment is to develop a plan to manage leachate as cost-effectively as possible.  This plan will propose viable solutions that will prevent or limit groundwater and surface water flows from entering into the existing landfill footprint area, reducing leachate generation.  The solutions should focus on limiting excessive leachate generation during overflow periods of heavy rainfall which will overwhelm the lift station.
