Planning ✅ Neighbourhood Plans y The South Vedder Neighbourhood Plan, adopted in the spring, guides the land use and development decisions of this unique area of Vedder y The Yarrow Neighbourhood Plan, adopted in the summer, maintains the local character of the area while also allowing modest subdivision to support local commercial viability (this plan is supported by subsequent zoning and regulatory updates to manage the servicing requirements of the area). The Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment (UFVRD) performs its work through four Community Policing Offices: RCMP The Chilliwack RCMP is proud to provide policing services to the residents of Chilliwack, including: y Frontline and Community Policing y General Investigations y Serious Crimes y Traffic Safety y Drugs and Street Enforcement Municipal employees and public servants provide administrative and operational support in the areas of exhibits, prisoner guarding, client services, records management, crime analysis, court services, media relations and fleet maintenance. 2022 HIGHLIGHTS In addition, CCPS employees, combined with dedicated volunteers, actively participate in crime prevention programs: y Speed Watch y Block Watch y City Watch y Crime Free Multi-Housing y City of Chilliwack y Agassiz - Harrison Hot Springs ✅ Community Response Team continued to enhance public safety through police presence and community connection during foot and bike patrols. ✅ Celebrated the opening of Chilliwack RCMP Investigative Services building. Occupancy anticipated for early 2023.
