Getting a Library Card
everyone can get a free Fraser valley
regional Library card! visit one of
our libraries with the following:
• Adults: One piece of ID with your
current mailing address
• Teens: (13-18 yrs) One piece of ID (e.g.
student card)
• Children: (Under 13 yrs) One piece of
ID for the child and proof of residence
from parent or guardian registering the
child. Parent or guardian needs to sign
child’s library card, and child needs to
be present to be registered.
Did you know?
• Any Children’s and Young Adult
materials borrowed on a child’s
card are overdue-fees-free (some
restrictions apply; ask for more
information).
• You can see a list of all the library items
you have borrowed by enabling our
“Recently Returned” feature in the new
library catalogue.
• Proceeds from Friends of the Library
events like Puzzle, Disc and Book Blitz
Sales go to support programs and
collections at the Chilliwack and Yarrow
Libraries.

The new Sardis Library is coming soon!
2013 will see the grand opening of a modern, 10,600 square foot facility located at
5819 Tyson rd in Chilliwack. It will feature a community multi-purpose room that
can be used after-hours as well as a comfortable seating area with a fireplace.
The Sardis Library will
feature a high quality
indoor environment
through access to daylight
and views, and will have
natural ventilation. The
focus of the design
team has been on
quality construction and
sustainable features which
will create a beautiful,
functional community
space.
