The Chilliwack Community Arts Association and the Chilliwack Academy of
Music present evening concerts at Salish Park beside the Chilliwack Library.

July 3:
SECONDARY
CHARACTERS:
Chilliwack’s
summer musical theatre
company tantalizes you with
an assortment of rousing
numbers from past shows
and Cabarets, as well as
their upcoming production
of Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat.
July 10:
NO TIME FLAT:
From the
Skinny’s Crew in Hope
comes J.B. Young and this
tried and true Chilliwack
favourite. Let them entertain
your with their ‘40s- and
‘50s-era popular jazz stylings
and show tunes.
July 17:
THE JEFF BOWMAN
TRIO:
This always stellar
group have been delighting
Chilliwack audiences longer
than anyone – join them for
an evening of light jazz and
rock.
July 24:
WILL GEORGE:
This
Vancouver-based singer-
songwriter’s set list combines
originals with covers by
artists such as Jim Croce,
John Lennon and Bob Dylan.
Will is the lead singer for the
band Horse Opera.
July 31:
KMH TRIO:
The KMH Trio
was created from the “Old
Time Saturday Night Jams”
held at the Senior Recreation
Centre’s. They are no
strangers to the music scene
however, coming from a
background of folk and Down
East kitchen parties. Enjoy
their casual country style.
August 7:
DOG MOUNTAIN DIXIE:
When the Jazz Festival
closed its doors four years
ago, no one told these
Chilliwack veteran musicians.
They continue to meet on a
weekly basis, practicing their
chops, ready for the call. Sit
back and relax and prepare
to start your toes tapping.
August 14:
ROCKLAND MORAN:
Rockland’s music has been
described as a fusion of
jazz, roots and blues. With
five CDs and scores to five
independent movies to his
credit Rockland plays an
open-tuned guitar that gives
a haunting steel guitar effect
to his original “fusegrass”
tunes.
August 21:
VEDDER CROSSING:
These five seasoned
musicians have played a
wide variety of music in the
community for decades.
From haunting western love
songs to early rock and roll
they’re bound to play some
familiar tunes and get your
toes tapping.
In the event of bad weather,
evening concerts will be
cancelled by 5:00 p.m.
