Supported by media coverage from Vancouver Sun, CityTV, Georgia Straight and BC Living. Good Neighbours Lhewámel Project • Led by the Ts'elxwéyeqw Tribe in partnership with the City and the Stó:lō Research and Resource Centre. • Two significant features unveiled at Peach Park: ‐ Gathering Place. ‐ Welcome Portal. Partnerships • Continued building partnerships that support local businesses, cultural events, and visitor experiences. • Partnered with the Ts'elxwéyeqw Tribe, Stó:lō Service Agency, UFV, and the City of Chilliwack for infrastructure initiatives. • Sponsored the Pride Festival, Mural Festival, Chilliwack Flight Fest, and the Independent Film Festival. Black Tiph Media Visit • Partnered with Tourism Harrison River Valley and Yves Bisson (local fishing guide) to co-host a media visit with Josh Jorgensen of BlacktipH - the world's largest fishing influencer. • Resulting video "Catching a Real River Monster" received over 185,000 views. 795,480 VISITOR TRIPS TO CHILLIWACK Visitor Dispersion • Balance Visitor Traffic: strategically spread events throughout the year to reduce overcrowding and enhance the visitor experience. • Increase Community Engagement: created more opportunities for social connection by ensuring events were accessible across different seasons. • Optimize Social Media Strategies: targeted campaigns to guide visitors to lesser-known attractions, easing congestion in high-impact areas while showcasing more of Chilliwack’s diverse offerings. TOURISM CHILLIWACK Tourism Ch’illiwack supports the city’s visitor economy through sustainable growth, local promotion, and meaningful partnerships. Established in 1998 as a subsidiary of CEPCO and incorporated in 2006, it operates as a Destination Management Organization (DMO), showcasing Chilliwack’s attractions, accommodations, restaurants, and events to drive economic impact and community vibrancy. Through collaboration with local and provincial partners, Tourism Ch’illiwack advocates for tourism-focused planning while protecting the city’s natural and cultural assets. The organization’s Sí:yá:ya Yóyes – Friends Working Together Plan guides its commitment to reconciliation, aligning with the National Truth and Reconciliation Plan and UNDRIP. Balancing economic development with cultural respect and sustainability, Tourism Ch’illiwack helps shape a thriving, inclusive destination for residents and visitors alike. Visitor Services • Continued providing accessible, on-the-go support for residents and visitors. • Assisted over 8,000 people at our visitor centre through mobile engagement. • Visitor origins outside of BC included: Alberta, Washington, California, Mexico, Europe, Asia, and Australia. • Continued to enhance visitor experience while encouraging exploration, connection, and community pride. The Fraser Valley Group • Continued collaboration with The Fraser Valley Group and Destination BC to promote the region as a year-round destination. • Strengthened the Awaken Your Senses campaign which contributed a 34% increase in visits to thefraservalley.ca website. Chilliwack Heritage Park • Continued to be a driver of community and economic vitality. • Welcomed over 230,000 attendees. • Hosted 54 major events. • Provided event space for local renters and private events with 156 bookings. 2025 HIGHLIGHTS
