Chilliwack Cultural Centre
The Parks, Recreation & Culture department
takes a “community development”
approach to providing leisure services
to Chilliwack. The Department works
with various cultural groups, sports
organizations, community associations,
businesses, not-for-profit societies and
service clubs, in order to offer residents a
wide variety of leisure opportunities.
The Parks division is responsible for the
development and maintenance of about
100 sites including the City’s sports fields,
trails, Municipal buildings and parks.
There are about 75 km of walking, hiking
and cycling trails throughout the Chilliwack
area that are continuously being expanded
and enhanced. One of the most highly used
systems is the Vedder River Rotary Trail, a
15.5 km that runs along the Vedder River.
