reminds you that your body needs
physical activity to be healthy!
School age children need 1 hour of moderate to
vigorous activity every day. Adults, including seniors,
need 2.5 hours of moderate to vigorous activity
every week (or 20 minutes each day) in sessions of
at least 10 minutes at a time; plus weight-bearing
exercise 2 days a week.
Moderate activities cause sweating and more rapid
breathing. Vigorous activities cause increased
sweating and feeling ‘out of breath’.
The role of the Chilliwack Hospital & Health Care
