Annual Report 2019 19 4,634 ATTENDED CELEBRATION & ACTIVITY GRANT EVENTS 36 BLOCK PARTIES 595 MUSEUM VISITS 22,000+ GREAT BLUE HERON NATURE RESERVE VISITORS Facilities ƒ The newly completed Sardis Sports Complex additional ice arena officially opened on August 29, 2019. The additional arena has five team dressing rooms, elevated seating for 500, an official’s room and a multipurpose room. The Sardis Sports Complex (formerly Twink Rinks) now has three ice arena surfaces. ƒ Facility upgrades are carried out on a regular basis to maintain their integrity. The gym floor at the Cheam Leisure Centre was sanded and a new finish was applied. Celebration & Activity Grant ƒ A total of 43 events and block parties, servicing 4,634 community members with $10,125 in funding support.
