Burning reduction measures
included in community air quality,
energy and greenhouse gas action
plan. One of the objectives in the
2012 Agricultural Area Plan is to
reduce the extent of open burning
on Chilliwack farms.
Minimize energy
consumption in municipal
facilities.
Reduction in energy consumption.
Civic facilities have been equipped
with energy efficient systems to
reduce consumption. Additional
energy efficiency measures were
identified in the Corporate Air
Quality, Energy and Greenhouse
Gas Action Plan and the Chilliwack
Landing Energy Integration Study
completed in 2012.
