Generation Health is a FREE 10-week healthy lifestyle program for children and their families. We will be meeting weekly (Monday evenings) at the Chilliwack YMCA as of Sept 30th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. During the first hour of the program, we have a group facilitator that educates children and parents about various topics related to healthy living such as: healthy eating, active living, goal setting, healthy body image and self esteem, etc. During the second hour, the children have time for play-based exercise in the gym with a physical activity specialist while the parents cover additional topics with the group facilitator around positive family mealtimes and physical activity experiences, cooking and playing together, and positive parenting. Families who participate in this program will receive a FREE 6 month membership to YMCA Chilliwack.
