Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned expert, no matter your age, if you have interest learning the ukulele you’re welcome here! Bring your own ukulele from home, borrow one of the library’s Uke 'n Play Ukulele Kits, or use one provided by the club. This program is in partnership with the Chilliwack Academy of Music. Kaleidoscope of Colours. To be presented by the Golden Palette Club at the O’Connor Group Art Gallery on Feb. 23 to April 1, 2017. From 12 noon to 5 pm, Wednesday through Saturday. A perfect title for our exhibit as its definition is: a variegated changing of patterns or scenes. Be prepared to be amazed! Reception Saturday Feb. 25th, 1 to 3 pm.

This informative session will be facilitated by Andrew Sakamoto of the Tenant Resource & Advisory Centre. Andrew has been working at TRAC for over seven years, and took over as Executive Director in 2013. During Andrew's time at TRAC, he has developed a passion for rental housing and improving access to justice for B.C.'S 600,000+ tenant households.

12:45 pm – 1:45 pm. Yarrow Community Elementary & the Yarrow Library are pleased to offer you an educational performance that will wow and inspire you. Teddy Anderson is a professional First Nation’s Hoop Dancer that has performed all over the world in hundreds of schools. Teddy dances with 30 hoops at one time to share a message of unity, fellowship and peace. The performance allows you to appreciate the meaning behind the First Nation’s Hoop Dance. Mondays, Mar 13 and 20, 6:30 pm - 8 pm. Learn to paint with acrylics on canvas in a fun relaxed setting with  local artist Pat Gerlach. Basic skills will be introduced and will include composition, creating texture and mixing and blending colours. All supplies will be provided. For 13 years and older. Registration is required.

2 pm – 4 pm. Families are welcome to enjoy a movie and popcorn in our programming room. Contact the library at 604-792-1941 starting March 1 to find out what we’ll be showing.

11 am – 12 pm. Spring into an art activity at the Sardis Library and create beautiful and colourful sand art. Svetlana from Sparkling Ideas will teach you how to make your glittering sand art. For ages 4-10. This is a ticketed event. Tickets will be available at the Sardis Library starting 1 week before the event.

3 pm - 5 pm. Come and be amazed by a 3D Printer in action. Watch and learn about how this technology works, learn about the software needed to design for the 3D printer and maybe even walk away with a small 3D printer memento. The Fraser Valley MakerSpace is proud to showcase one of its 3D printers made locally in BC.

11 am – 12 pm. The audience will be amazed with the Mad Scientist and being able to defy gravity in this energetic and spectacular special event. Didgeridoo tubes, foaming hands and steaming chemical reactions will introduce children to a world of exciting chemistry.

2 pm – 3:30 pm. We supply the materials, tweens & teens can get those creative muscles working. Ages 9-14. Snacks and maybe even pizza will be provided!

Come on by Coles Cottonwood to meet Vancouver author Marjorie Simmins, who would be delighted to sign and inscribe a copy of her new book, Year of the Horse, just for you! The Girl Guides units of Vedder Mountain District will be out and about "cookie blitzing!" We will be selling cookies door to door and outside a few locations such as the Superstore and Canadian tire to name a few. Come out and support our girls! This seasons cookies, the girls are raising money towards a district camp. And many of our individual older girls are raising money for major events such as S.O.A.R and international trips.

A program incorporating the foundations and values of yoga with life skills, educational workshops and fun activities that are designed to engage, empower and connect Chilliwack youth within the community. In this program we will focus on both yoga and restorative justice values; Balance, Community, Honesty, Integrity, Lifestyle and Learning. All youth welcome ages 15-18. Program runs Friday's from 3:30pm to 5pm (excluding good Friday); a light snack is provided. Pre-registration is required.
