Young Road - Airport Road to Luckakuck Way Project
Project Details
Young Road reconstruction and widening will occur from Airport Road to Luckakuck Way. This section of road will widen to four travel lanes to improve traffic flow and safety. A safe pathway for active transportation users will be constructed on the west side. This project is current in the planning phase.
Work will include:
- Roadway widening to include four lanes.
- Curb, gutter and roadway paving.
- A multi-use pathway on the west side and a sidewalk on the east side of Young Road.
- Street lighting and street trees.
- Drainage improvements and culvert replacement.
- Transit stop improvements.
- Signage and road markings.

Timeline
Detailed design and utility relocations are anticipated to begin in 2027 and construction to begin in 2028.
