Community Parks

Watson Glen Park is located at the corner of Cumberland and Tyson Avenues beside the Twin Rinks Arena. The park is 11.12 hectares and includes a walking trail around the perimeter. This park offers a playground area for kids of all ages, tennis courts, a ball hockey pad, change rooms, washrooms, walking paths and outdoor exercise areas.

In 1957, as a former gravel pit, this site provided the fill for the construction of the Cottonwood Overpass for Vedder Road, after which it remained empty for many years. It was not until 1975, when Twin Rinks was under construction and three parks, Boutilier, Sardis Kiwanis Watson Glen playground and the Rotary interactive walking park were all merged together to create Watson Glen Park.
