Get the support to help you quit smoking for good! Run to Quit is an innovative 10-week smoking cessation program where participants learn to walk or run 5K while receiving practical support on quitting smoking.

The Canadian Cancer Society has partnered with the Running Room to bring our respective expertise to Run to Quit, an innovative program that teaches tobacco users how to use running as a way to effectively quit smoking. We piloted Run to Quit in Ontario and the results speak for themselves: Run to Quit participants were 7 times more likely to successfully quit smoking than those who tried to quit cold turkey. If a 10-week Learn to Run/Quit Program doesn’t sound like your thing but you like the ideas of quitting, you can Commit to Quit and still be eligible for the contest! Why should you Run to Quit!? 1. Participants are 7x more likely to quit smoking than those trying on their own. 2. Scared to gain weight while trying to quit? Staying active will help offset those pounds. 3. This tournament is open to junior golfers age 16 and under - $15 registration fee includes green fee, a snack and opportunity to win gross and net prizes. Golfers should be able to score 100 or better on a par 3 course. Double par pick up in the 10 and under category.

The Chilliwack Lawn Bowling Club's OPEN HOUSE is this Saturday morning, July 2, 2016, starting at 10:00 a.m. All first-time visitors will be given instruction, as well as being provided with all necessary equipment, followed by a free game. The Chilliwack Rotary Club's Garden and Lifestyles Tour provides experienced gardeners and beginners alike with a wonderful varied tour of local gardens. Each garden highlights an aspect of gardening and lifestyle.

This partnership program between the Chilliwack Library, The Sardis Library, The Chilliwack Arts Council and the City of Chilliwack is a reimagining of our popular Music and More program. This 2 day event promises to be bigger and better than ever! For the Young: Outside of the Sardis Library in Watson Glen Park the Sardis Library and Chilliwack Arts Council will be on hand with interactive experiences for you to enjoy, including: • Magic • Balloon art • Face painting • Arts and crafts • Musical entertainment.
