This Free Yoga Class in Chilliwack, has a different teacher every week and is available to all levels. At Studio B Yoga we encourage a mindful and balanced lifestyle and believe yoga should be available to anyone. Gently flow through your practice while working on poses. This class accommodates a wide range of experience levels from beginner to students that have practiced for a long period of time. The class works on a balance between strength and flexibility while building endurance and improving your breathing and posture. You are welcome to join this free class every Saturday or experience a variety of other classes Studio B Yoga has to offer. We have all the mats and props you may need for the class and we ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes early to sign a waiver if it is your first class,  and get settled.  Please refer to our studio page for  other frequently asked questions and studio courtesy information you may have regarding this class and our facility.

Get the support to help you quit smoking for good! Run to Quit is an innovative 10-week smoking cessation program where participants learn to walk or run 5K while receiving practical support on quitting smoking.

The Canadian Cancer Society has partnered with the Running Room to bring our respective expertise to Run to Quit, an innovative program that teaches tobacco users how to use running as a way to effectively quit smoking. We piloted Run to Quit in Ontario and the results speak for themselves: Run to Quit participants were 7 times more likely to successfully quit smoking than those who tried to quit cold turkey. If a 10-week Learn to Run/Quit Program doesn’t sound like your thing but you like the ideas of quitting, you can Commit to Quit and still be eligible for the contest! Why should you Run to Quit!? 1. Participants are 7x more likely to quit smoking than those trying on their own. 2. Scared to gain weight while trying to quit? Staying active will help offset those pounds. 3. Mondays, May 2 – June 13, (excluding May 23), 10:30 - 11 am. Introduce kids to the love of books and language with storytime! Children and caregivers sill enjoy interactive stories, songs, rhymes, and more. Storytime prepares children to learn to read.

Learn to Knit. This course is for beginners or those still working on basic skills. You will learn to cast on and cast off, knit and purl, combine stitches into patterns, and correct mistakes with local instructors Sidrah and Nasrin Ahmad. Ages: 13 to Adult. Wed. June 1, 5pm – 7pm. Conversation Circles Chilliwack Library: Wednesdays, 7 – 8:30 pm. Are you an adult trying to improve your spoken English? Would you like to meet new friends in the community? The Chilliwack and Sardis Libraries, in partnership with the Chilliwack Learning Society, host free, drop-in Conversation Circles.

2 pm – 3 pm. Join the Friends of the Chilliwack Libraries Society on the first Wednesday of every month. This volunteer organization supports the library through advocacy, fundraising and assistance with various projects and programs. New friends are always welcome!

Join service providers and refugee sponsor and support groups for information sharing, service collaboration and coordination, and networking.

This Community Education session focuses on Financial Literacy and the Golden Years. As you age, financial concerns and considerations change. This session will explore types of financial institutions, deposit insurance, account options and what to look for. We will also look at investments TFSA vs RRSP along with saving strategies and registered investments. Other topics will be Estate Planning, Power of Attorney and Joint accounts with right of survivorship. Coletta Holmes, Executive Director with the Seniors' Resources Society, Rita Bilan and Jeannette Fernie on behalf of Envision Financial will share their experience and expertise. One of the hottest events of the summer in Chilliwack, British Columbia, is the incredible Fortin's Village Classic Car Show, returning to the streets of downtown Chilliwack once again on June 26, 2016 at 11 am- 4 pm. Stroll the streets of Wellington, Mill, Young, Victoria, and upper Yale and relive the memories of over 250 classic cars. There will be trophies, prize draws, music, food trucks and more!

Car enthusiasts, mark your calendars! Vehicle registration begins at 7:30 am. Registration cost is $10 per car and must be paid in cash, at entrance. There will be one entrance into the event grounds, at Yale Rd. & Princess Ave. All other access points will have barricades, indicating “Do Not Enter”. Each car will receive a registration form, when they enter the grounds. When the registration form is returned, to the designated area, you will receive a voting # and a dash plaque. Step 1- Enter grounds on Yale Rd. & Princess Ave NO EARLIER THAN 7:30 AM. Step 2- Pay $10 (Cash only) to attendant, you will receive your registration form at this point, if you have not printed one off line already. Step 3- Follow parking attendants to park your car. Step 4- Fill out your registration form & bring to BIA tent, located at 5 Corners Park. Step 5- Display your registration # on your windshield. Any vendors wishing to participate need to contact the Downtown BIA to get the application forms.

This tournament is open to junior golfers age 16 and under - $15 registration fee includes green fee, a snack and opportunity to win gross and net prizes. Golfers should be able to score 100 or better on a par 3 course. Double par pick up in the 10 and under category.

Excellent opportunity for young golfers to experience the thrill of tournament play!
