Robotics Systems 2.2 this course will teach more about applications for gearing and motors. Concepts will include engineering principles such as torque and gear ratio. Students will build projects that include mechanical parts such as worm gears and transmission. The battle began on the opening day of the war in September 1939 and ended almost six years later with Germany’s surrender in May 1945.Today we honour those Canadians who served in the Battle of Atlantic. The Chilliwack Arts and Cultural Centre Society’s Board of Directors are thrilled to be presenting a spring benefit event specifically designed to support the arts and craft programs at The Centre. Gather up your friends for Chilliwack’s first Art of Wine Festival to be held on May 10, 2014 from 7 to 9:30 pm as over 50 wines are being poured for tasting. This splendid evening will be a celebration of British Columbia’s fabulous wines including representation from more than 25 British Columbia wineries. Music from The Stuart Young Trio will set the scene along with foods chosen to complement the various wines.

Masks - The Steampunk and Collage Versions. Saturday May 10 - 10:00 - 12:00. 13- Adult. Pat Gerlach. In this class you will start with a pre-made paper mache mask and learn new techniques to decorate a professional looking mask into the pseudo-Victorian mechanical "steampunk" style or use paint and mixed media to collage your mask into a personalized masterpiece. If you have any old non precious metal bits of old costume jewellery such as broken chains and other bits bring them along to incorporate into your mask. This is a fun class open to any skill level and most age groups. Cost: $19. Members save an additional 10%.

In this one day jewelry design workshop we will explore a variety of techniques, including the adjustable cord necklace, stretchy cord, and coiling wire. Chilliwack School of Performing Arts, a local non-profit youth theatre company, is holding a fundraiser for their school! This event is Italian themed with pasta, wine (for those 19+), garlic bread, laughs, and fantastic and versatile entertainment. Doors open at 5:30, dinner at 6:00, and the show begins at 7:00!
