The City of Chilliwack is seeking Expressions of Interest from Design-Build Proponents to design and construct the following works:

Location: Young Road from North of Airport Road to North of Brooks Ave.

o Upgrading of the Young Road/Hocking Avenue intersection including fully actuated pedestrian and vehicle signalization;

o Widening of Young Road to allow for 5 lanes of traffic plus bike paths, between North of Airport and North of Brooks Ave (approx 500m);

o Upgrading the sanitary sewer within the limits of work.

Project Objective

The objective of this project is to make the necessary improvements to Young Road to provide improved vehicular movements and increased pedestrian facilities.

Sealed Expression of Interest (EI) from complete teams clearly marked with the Proponent's name, address and "2003 Young Road Improvements" shall be received by the undersigned at the office of the City of Chilliwack not later than 3:00 p.m., local time, "Mar 25, 2003" and used to 'short list' the Proponents. Proponent teams or individuals not possessing the complete expertise, ie., both design and construction, will not be considered. A maximum of three (3) teams will be invited to submit detailed Proposals.
