Bridal Falls

Bridal Falls just east of Chilliwack exit #135 off the #1 Highway.
One of Chilliwack's most beautiful views is that of cascading Bridal Falls at the junction of Highways #1 & #9. Come visit for a day and enjoy a short hike and picnic at the Falls. Bridal Falls offers many major family attractions such as the Trans-Canada Water Slides, Dinotown, Bridal Falls Golf and Country Club, Geological Museum and world renowned Minter Gardens.
In the same area visit the Cheam Lake Wetlands Regional Park. The Park encompasses 93 hectares (250 acres), with almost half being lake and marsh and is an example of habitat restoration. The orignal lake was drained in the 1950's during the process of mining marl from the bottom sediments. Ducks Unlimited Canada and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans built a water control structure with a fish ladder in 1992 to allow the lake to reflood, to create a valuable wetland habitat. The number of bird species total 129 as well as other wildlife that make their home in the park, and with changes occurring as the lake continues to establish, the numbers of wildlife will increase. The Cheam Lake Wetlands Regional Park is identified and signed as a wildlife viewing site of British Columbia Wildlife Watch, the provincial wildlife viewing program. You can contact Regional District of Fraser Cheam at 604-702-5000 for more information.
