  Grow Watch

The Chilliwack RCMP has partnered with the Chilliwack Block Watch program to develop an innovative community participation program aimed at education and prevention.

Chilliwack "Grow Watch" is a three-phase neighbourhood action plan designed to educate community members regarding factors in identifying Marihuana Grow Operations in their neighbourhoods, to assist them in reporting suspicious activity to the Chilliwack RCMP and to deter potential criminals from establishing Marihuana Grow Operations in properties in these "Grow Watch" designated neighbourhoods.

Phase One - Training - Attend a community training session to learn more about Grow Watch and about how illegal marihuana grow operations threaten public safety.  Contact 604-393-3000 to learn more.

Phase Two - Neighbourhood Cooperation / Letter of Participation - Distribute education packages to your neighbours and collect signed letters of participation.  80 % neighbourhood participation is required to advance to phase three.

Phase Three - Certification / Designation - Once a neighbourhood reaches a participation rate of 80% and signed letters are fowarded to the Community Policing Services, a sign will be erected under the existing Block Watch sign indicating that this neighbourhood is a Grow Watch Neighbourhood and that "Neighbours are Watching, Recording and Reporting."
