Cycling and Hiking
There are several enjoyable trails within the City of Chilliwack. Through donations and services the Rotary Vedder River Trail has been made possible by local Rotary Clubs, CFB Chilliwack and the City of Chilliwack. The trail covers 15.5 km along the north dyke of the Vedder River between Vedder Road and Sumas Prairie Road. The trail surface consists of compacted crush gravel which is suitable for walking, running, cycling and horseback riding. Parking areas are located at Vedder Road, Peach Road, Lickman Road and Sumas Prairie Road. The trail includes picnic / rest stop areas and park benches along the route.
A reference book describing regular and mountain bike routes in the Chilliwack area is available. "Let's Cycle Chilliwack" by Arnold M. McCombs can be purchased at most Chilliwack bike shops and book stores.
